I know this subject has been beaten to death and buried. But I own several of both and I still can't decide which I prefer. I'd like to hear some opinions on design, theory behind design, etc. Not just the old argument "well they're badass" to wrap up the answer. Hell, I think they're all badass.

For example, I like the generous choil that Striders provide; it seems to give me more options than the Busse choil. Also, I've heard people say that Busses are better for chopping wood; Striders are better for chopping steel. Why? I like the Busse INFI; it's hard to beat; but is it easier or harder to sharpen in the field than ATS34? I like the fact that Striders have real pointy, sharp tips; moreso that Busse it seems. Sometimes I hear someone say that they've seen the light and have sold off all of one or the other in order to invest in the other. Then they don't expound on it. Why?

Hopefully, you guys won't crucify me for reviving the vampire.

Different Designs = Different Uses

I prefer Busse knives when camping/hunting. IMHO they are better suited for the tasks I encounter.

Both company's offer outstanding products, so the choice is yours.

Its like Bentley and Rolls-Royce. The best of the best, so how do you pick a favorite? Personal preference, basically.

They are both the best blades on the planet, just different looking.
I PERSONALLY much prefer the looks of Striders over Busse.

True though, that the Busses are better choppers just because they are such HUGE blades.

Dunno why the Striders cut steel so well...they're just tougher and have the best heat treatment.

Basically, neither will ever fail or disappoint you, and when choosing between the two, it pretty much comes down to personal preference.

Hope that helps!
