Guys, can't decide between the PT and the PerT. I like them both, but can only afford one. Personal experience re fit and finish and other finer differences are greatly appreciated.

Both are well made nice knives. If you have never handled a PT, be aware they are TINY. I purchased my first PT last year a was very shocked at how small it is. Other than that, both are great, it's just a personal preference (mine is the PT).

Thanks, I think it's something like the Spyderco Chaparral? That fits my hand really well. I just like Ti frame-locks.

Something else
Basically I am looking for a 3" Ti framelock with Ti scales and great looks and ergos. I have the Protech SnG Operator and I really like how it fits my hand in many grips, but I don't like the full black tactical look and the size is too big for me to EDC. Some others I really like are the Small Sebenza, Buck Mayo TNT, and the Fluted Ti Native.

I’ll be honest, I really love my PT. Fits well in the hand. Nice geometry. Pocket clip is hilarious because they share the same size clip across the family, but it works.

I’m after a Tanto variant currently myself.

Ditch the overpriced and lack of cutting edge on the Strider version and get the Pro-Tech PT version (in Magnacut) for less than half the cost. Amazing EDC knife.

Strider make some great knives......
But I honestly feel for the use that most Strider knives are intended for,...
Neither design has anywhere near the number of "choils" or "jimping" required to do whatever Strider knives are designed to do,... I mean there is at least two angles on the handle, and one or more on the blade, that they have failed to put choils or jimping on!

Thanks, looked at them and I think a Slicer Non-Flipper is calling my name.
It can be great
I have a flipper wharny and it is IMO a great utilitarian blade as long as you don’t do food prep ;)

My favorite short blades are the CRK small inkosi (very small), the WE banter, the Para3 (with skinny scales), the spartan harsey 3.25” and the xm18 3”

The small inkosi and the xm18 3” are my top 2
The flipping acrion of the xm18 is addictive :) and since I almost always use the digger choil the flipper tab is really not an issue ;)
