Strider wait times

I thought I'd post this here rather than bothering Mick or Duane with calls and emails. I'm sure some of the long time Strider faithful can answer these questions.
How long does it generally take when you order a knife directly from Strider? In this case, I just ordered an AR. I think Mick said he was doing a run of these knives now, but does that mean I'll get one of them or is the waiting list on these things really long?
Also, can anyone tell me if an AR that is ordered today will have a BG32 blade or S30V?
Thanks

Harrydog,
I talked to Strider last week and they gave me an estimated 5 months on a GB and AR. I believe this is mostly due to the pre-orders and back orders that they have now. My pre-order is with TAD and they keep saying two weeks.
As for the blade composite I keep hearing that the AR and GB are still BG42.
Good Luck
Scott

Just a personal observation. Ordering from a dealer is the hot ticket these days. Most of the dealers keep knives constantly on order, so they are usually getting knives in during every model run. They tend to be easier to check with as far as customer service as well, without pulling somebody off a grinder.

Strider currently is making its knives in batches of 50-100 depending on what is most wanted. Therefore, if you are lucky enough to have ordered a specific model that they are doing a batch of...you wait will be short. Folders are probably a different story. They are so popular, there is a wait list at just about every dealer and at Strider itself. The best way to get what you want quickly is to go through a dealer, PERIOD. They guys are making knives for military customers and their dealers a priority. That doesn't mean they are ignoring others...well, maybe Bushmaster....it just means that it will take a bit longer. You have to remember that this isn't Gerber you are dealing with. They don't have thousands of knives laying around to send out at a whim. More popular models are more likely to come quickly as well. Something like a JW will take you a long time to get. ALL CUSTOM KNIFE MAKERS ARE THIS WAY! You just have to be patient. If you can't handle that, go elsewhere. Just the facts of life.

but I think it is 3000 rounds per minute! Its a minigun! That must be the ultimate in fire power. You cut down any Tali****ers when you were there?

I've seen a mini-gun open up from a Huey at sunset/dusk in the RP years ago. What a sight that was - the rounds going down range looked like a laser arcing onto the target (training).
