Strider with "black oxide" coating

I'm thinking about buying Strider with CPM-3V steel.
These knives are coated with black oxide coating, is this coating as good as DLC?

I have knives with DLC coatings and consider it the best coating around.
Do you guys recommend this coating?

I hear the black oxide coating it scratches and wears away easily. If you use the blade, it will show.


I have the Digi Camo blade and I will say that finish holds up very well. A lot better than i thought.
