Hey guys looking into getting a strider wp but cant decide on blade style. Clip point, drop point, or spear point. Which would you choose and why? Mostly it will be a fondle knife but also a home defense back up to my 12 gauge. Thanks

I owned a WP for a while. They are tough "little" knives. Honestly I can't think of a single reason to own that knife. There is nothing that it is really good at. The one thing I can think of is self defense. Even then, why wouldn't you pick a knife that works well as a tool? If you want a Strider fixed blade that does not break the bank check out the MFS. It's every bit as stout and offers great usability.

The knives (off the top of my head) I've had that fit in this category are: BM Nimravus, a couple customs, Strider SA, WP, MFS, Chris Reeve Shadow III, Nkonka, Nyala, SRKW Hairy Carry, Rat Warden, RAT RC-3, ESEE-3, SYKCO MAXX 375. The shining star of the bunch has been the Strider MFS. The handle is comfy, the steel is perfect, the blade stock is thick but has a great multi purpose full flat grind & comes with an excellent hand made kydex sheath. It's a double edged sword for me though because it is easily my highest recommended FB but I wanna snatch one up on the exchange sooner than later! I sold mine to a buddy who HAD to have it. I would put SRKW's SR101 steel VERY high on the list though. But I prefer stainless steel & don't care for most of their designs.
