Hi everyone,

I posted in another thread that I was going to buy my brother a Brend for Christmas. Well I did and its a beauty!

I just looked at the pics of someone else's brend with the "strider wrap" job on it and I'd love to wrap it that way for him.

Is there a tutorial or can anyone tell me how? Many thanks in advance for any help you guys can give!!

Thanks,

Rob

The Strider website has good instructions..... it may take alittle practice but you'll get it:D

Sorry it took me so long to respond! Thanks for the help Raden:) I'll give it a shot and report back later.

Good luck Rob,:D
I just finished Strider wrapping my new Brend. I have one suggestion for you. Get some tape to use on your fingers, to avoid nasty abrasions from the heavy tugging needed to get the wrap good and tight. You will need a vise and cardboard also to hold the Brend. Also, when you look at the pictures of the Strider wrap site, notice it really takes two pieces of line to do the job. At least that is how I interpreted it. The piece that will be the outer is the piece that goes through the holes in the pictures first. Then the inner wrap is applied over this looping. once this inner wrap is done the Strider style wrap is done with the ends of the initial wrap sticking out of the top of the under wrap. Are you confused yet? I was. It took four tries before I got it right. I got some nice blistered areas on some fingers from the first effort. The later ones I protected the fingers with a special finger wrap we have where I work. It is actually not too bad once you get the knack.
I posted in this site a few pictures of when I finished. I actually epoxy soaked the wrap on mine for extra strength and added life to the wrap job. BTW I used a thinner line as the under wrap material, and used some mill chord that has a 4 strand inner core as apposed to the 550 7 strand inner core. This gave me a more managable grip size. I tried what was supplied, but for me it ended up a little large. If you need any of the mil spec chord that I used, drop me a line. I have close to 1000' of it and can spare some.;) Take Care and have fun!!:D
