Yesterday was great fun at Blade West. I got to meet and hang out with the Striderguys and it was a blast. In fact, I'm on my way back to the show right now. (I want a frog shirt, which they sold out of yesterday!)
Anyway, Mick showed me his neck knife that he wears inside of his waistband, and it's BAD ASS. He assures me that these will become a regular production piece and that they will be taking orders soon. Duane is totally cool, and so is Knifebomber (Ryan). Steve Ryan showed up later in the day, and Steve and the Striderguys were snick-snicking my Microtech UT6 and playing with the ultra-rare Emerson fixed blade that I scored in the Emerson lottery. The Striderguys also seemed to like my Steve Ryan Biohazard M1 that I let them play with. Tom Mayo was on hand as well, and he's just an all around great guy. Ryan manned his booth for him for awhile, and we fondled all of Tom's blades in his absence. Very slick!
Not much more to say other than Striderguys are BAD ASS, and I look forward to my AR and GB arriving at BladeArt soon, but not until you guys supply the troops with the blades they need in order to get the job done. :)
Thanks Striderguys for making a good show even better.

rogue, check Mick's thread "What are you carrying today?" and you'll see two pix of the neck knife.

Incidentally, I just got back from day two of Blade West and spent alot of time with Mick. Great guy! I'm looking more forward to my AR and GB than ever, and it seems that they're just around the corner. Mick even gave me one of the new Frog Shirts! Bad Ass! Thanks Mick!

Hey Mick, those two synthetic pieces that I gave you:
The larger of the two is called Brain Spike and the little guy is called Carotid Splinter. :)

:D

Whenever I lurk in this forum, I usually think most of you guys are kiss a$$ess to the Strider guys. ;)

Then I went to the Blade show yesterday and met Mick in person. What a genuinely nice guy!! He listened to and answered all of my dumba$$ questions. And what really impressed me was when I saw him talking with a guy, who may or may not have been the Vietnam assasin he was claiming to have been, and Mick treated this guy with all the respect and dignity. What a class act!!

SO, my apologies to all this forum. You are not kiss a$$es, you have just been priviledged to meet some of the quality people of this world.

:D

Surfing Ronin,
I thought the same thing when I met them at the NY Show last year. They probably dont remember me but had a nice conversation even though I wasn't buying.Really great guys.
I'll be buying this year-NY Show only 6 weeks away!

Dave
