Does Strider harden the blade steel harder than say CRK?
I have a SJ75 and it may be an Imagination, but darn if it doesn't SEEM to keep that razor sharp edge longer than the Sebenza. I see CRK shows in the specs 58-59, but can't find Striders.

Dont quote me but I know they used to use Paul Bos Heat treating for their blades and he usually does his to 60 HRC. I know because I have talked to him about this just recently. Anyway I actually don't think Bos Heat Treating does them for strider anymore but I do still think they use is formula. I have had lots of CRKs and have had CRKs send to Bos to have them re hardened. I personally like s35vn at 60. Hope this helps a bit.

Me and Sharpski see eye to eye on this. To add, S35 loses that razor edge really fast. In my experience it doesn't really matter if it is at 58-59 or 60-61, that nice crisp razor edge disappears rather quickly. The difference I've found is the better retention and lack of edge deformation at higher hardness. From what I remembered Striders were 60-61 when PBHT did them (if they still do). But given Paul's equipment, you can be sure that you are going to be closer to 60 than 61. He told me he just can't consistently get S35/S30 up to 61.
