I bought my 1st Strider Saturday, it's not here yet, and it's not the exact knife I wanted but it was a good deal. I still want to get a GG. I think Stiders are some of the coolest looking knives out there but I have heard mixed reviews on quality and value. They are extremely expensive. I can't imagine that they are that much better than....A ZT 0560, or 0551, but I don't know. I hope you guys can help me w/some knowledge on the subject.

OK sorry if that's too vague. Not looking for any comparison to other knives, just looking for info or opinions from people on Striders. I think they look amazing, but before I spend $550 on a GG I want to hear what some knowledgeable people have to say. Ignorant people are welcome as well.

So what is your question? if they are better than a ZT? what is your definition of "better"?
They are great knives with great warranty. If it breaks, send it and they'll fix it. Plain and simple. I have had 3 and all have been great

I have a new SnG with the new lock interface. I love it. Great fit and finish (no CRK but pretty good) and I love the style and comfort. But, they are overpriced in my opinion. But if that's the style of knife you like and want you'll pay the price like I did.

are they worth it?, depends on where you are in the hobby imo. for years i couldnt justify any knife over $50. $50 became $100 and $100 became $200 and so on and so on...
soo then we return back to "are they worth it?", only you can determine their value.

are they damn good knives?, yes.

Maybe ask first before you buy. Since it's already coming, you'll decide if it's worth it to you.

They are from what I have read above average knives, they are not my style so I probably will not end up buying one, but the people that I know that own them, adore them.

I bought the one I did because part of my Knife collecting philosophy is if I can get it for less than it's worth then do so. Especially something that can be turned quickly if I need the money back. That hasn't really worked out for me though I always end up keeping them, I have never sold a knife, I can't let them go, if I need money I just work more rather sell sell my precious. And each and every one is my precious.

Thank you! I've heard that the ones made in china that sell for $70 are better quality than Striders. (That's just what I've heard so chill out)

Strider makes a superb knife and if you have a legitimate issue with one of their knives, they will fix it or make it right without question. I will always have one or more in my rotation.
