Striders and resale value

I own 4 Striders. 3 smf, and 1 ar. I got then because I love the knife, I spent almost $2000 and them so I better love them. Although I love them I know I won't get my money back if I ever sell them. I see Striders for sale all the time, the are pre-owned and the sellers are asking full price. Why would a buyer pay full price for a secondhand knife. Unless it's something specific a buyer is looking for you would be better off getting one from one of the authorized dealers. Another thing I've seen on forums is people trying to sell their heavily used Striders for $25 less than new. Why the hell would someone pay almost full price for an old scratched up knife w/old lockup when you can wait a while and get a new one. They are not good investments is all.
