Hello,

I notice Strider is using a camo paint on their blades, does this add increased strength to the steel ?

May I suggest a new knife using Pink Sparkles Paint on the blade and a rainbow colour handle. Mick, u could name it the:

"Rainbow Warrior"

I am sure u would have a whole new clientele hanging out at your knife shop :)

Cordially

Make that polka dots and I know someone who'd buy it! [:D]
Btw, Rainbow Warrior is a Greenpeace ship...

Now, what's with the Strider bashing lately?

Now, I just don't know your questions are from your curiosity or you're just being a troll. But I give you benefit of the doubt.

Nope, it does not increase the strength of the blade.

I'm not so sure that all Strider knives have the bead-blast/carbonization tiger stripes. At the Chesapeake show last year, Duane Dwyer said that he was testing different types of steel coatings. I saw an OD-green coated Dwyer D9, but Duane said that it was just a test and looked like crap. Their customs or limited-run knives might feature blade-coating tiger stripes.

The tiger stripe finish you see on most all the Strider knives is NOT a coating. The only coating you usualy see are on the all black coated blades like some of the D9's, Valkyrie's, and SnG's.
