Strider's steel in their new SMF's.

Well I have been looking around and I noticed that on the new Strider SMF's the info says that the knives are using CPM-154. I was wondering if they were changing their steel from CPM s30v to the CPM-154. If anyone has a SMF in 154 how is it compared to the s30v ones?

They use what they can get in suitable supplies but mostly S30V, S35VN and CPM-154 these days unless it's a special run.

As I hear it, they are S30V is not marked on the blade but I can't confirm that

The CPM154 was just a limited run. Their primary steels are S30V and S35VN.

Yep, exactly. They had to switch briefly to CPM-154 because of availability issues with S30V and S35VN.
