Who likes Striders, and for what reasons? I would like to learn more about these knives, so please fill me in.

Super tough construction, class leading warranty. Unique designs and finishes. 100% US made. They are expensive, but not out of line with other semi-custom knives.

Everything Lemon states basicly. personally my reasons are:
Unique design
Toughness ( you can do things with a strider that would break other folders and wont do much more than scratch the finish of a strider)
Warranty (you break it, Mick fixes it)
They retain value.
Usa Made and proud of it too.

I am a Strider Fan though so I may be biased.

Most EDC's are fine for cutting cardboard and filpping open every ten seconds while we watch TV but, in the back of our minds we feel that the whole thing might just bust loose and for that, I want my Strider.

Striders are very tough knives. Overbuilt.

I also consider the ergonomics and grip retention of the Strider SMF and SNG to be the best in terms of folders. They are very well-thought-out, functional knives. Moreso than any other folder I have ever used.

Striders are expensive, but there is a certain kitch their name has. It is sort of like owning a Ferrari... or in this case, a Hummer.

I have never owned a Strider fixed blade.
