I just received the new strike auto model with the plain edge and stone wash. The knife came with a tip down clip which is easily changed to tip up (rt hand only drilled), carries fairly deep, but not a true low rider. The auto speed was pretty slow compared to other autos I've owned, it doesn't bother me in the slightest though, in fact I like that it doesn't open violently and almost jump out of your hand like some autos tend to. The edge was sharp out of box. I proceeded to put my normal sharpmaker 20 per side edge on it. The factory bevels are all over the place, like most cheaper factory knives, easily remedied with a good sharpening. The stonewash is nice and even. The scales are aluminum, despite being listed as g10 on some sites. I love the blade shape. Overall I think it's another great value Boker auto, it reminds me of some of the bm autos, at a quarter the price.

thanks for the review. i only wish it was bigger. got too many blades that size already.

how does the safety feel? nice and firm or easily on and off?

jbmonkey, the safety is kind of weak, not much detent or whatever holding it. That said, I just leave it off, the opening button is stiff enough for me to trust it not to open in my pocket.
