:) Has anyone tried the new Strion rechargeable flashlight from Streamlight? I just need something for an everyday light. Any comments appreciated.

I keep a Strion in the office. It's a good light -- adequately bright, with good workmanship, reasonably clean lines (there's not getting around the charging port aesthetically), and provision to focus the beam. It's handiest as a stationary light that you can leave in the charger most of the time (rather than as a carry light) because it's designed to sit in that charger when not in use. It would make a great bedside light, for example, or a garage light.

Thanks Phil, I've had a Stinger for several years and had good service from it, but also wanted something a little smaller. I think I'll go ahead and order one. :)

I've had one for about 3 months, my EDC. It is a little big for EDC. Very bright, great throw, neat charger. I highly recommend them. And I lost one and had to buy another and didn't hesitate. The bulb blew in a week and I emailed Streamlight and with no questions asked they sent another. There is a spare bulb in the cap and so it was never an inconvenience.

I need a smaller light to use on the job, (pipewelding) the Strion sounds like just the ticket. Thanks for the input. :)

Can someone compare the Strion to the stinger? I carry a stinger on my duty belt. How much smaller is the strion?
