Strip Black Paint from Spyderco Clip?

I read over in the Spyderco forum where a guy stripped the black paint of the clip of his digi-camo, satin finished, Paramilitary. That way all the metal matches in white.

I put some Zip Strip on my clip, let it soak for 12 hours and didn't phase it! Took it off the knive, put it in a container and really slathered it. What's odd is to the finger nail, the paint seems soft and, even though I've only had the thing for a little while, some has already chipped of. So imagine my surprise when paint stripper had no effect.

So, does anybody have any recommendations? Did I just do it wrong? I tried acetone and that didn't do a thing either. Maybe it's baked on enamel?

I have used Citri-strip on a few of my Spyderco clips and it worked fine.
It has been a while since I have used it though, maybe Spyderco changed what they coat their clips with. Once I got the clips out of the stripper, I used a scotchbrite type wheel on my Dremel tool to get a satin finish on the clip.
