Strip Finish From Pocket Clip

Hey fellows,

Love Spyderco, hate the shiney hour glass pocket clips. Is there an easy way to dull the finish on those clips without making them look like Hell?

Glass bead.
Acid wash.
Sand with 600 grit.

I use a wire wheel... gives a brushed finish.

I dip my shiny clips into Radioshack PCB etchant solution for 15 min. Voila! Dull, matte gray color!
