Hey guys,
Just wondering how to take a coating off a knife, my Bk2 doesn't look so happy with all the scratches in the coating :grumpy:, and I'm hoping to fix that :D

Come over to the becker forum and you will learn alot about modifying that BK2.

First you want to get some stripper, either Klean Strip or Jasco.

take off the handles, find a good place to use the stripper and wait around 30 mins after you apply.

then use a razorblade and just kind of get under some of the paint and it will peel right off, use gloves also.

wash blade really good and if you want to shine it up, get some sandpaper.

ive used aircraft paint remover from auto paint supply sores or automotive sections in a department store, the stuff works well on any kind of finnish. does such a good job that stuff like that paint on the blade will come off without scraping.
