Striping and a patina

Thought I'd share my progress with my project of stripping my KA-BAR USMC knife. It's really experimenting for when I get ready to do my new BK-2.

All in all less than 10 min in the bead blaster. Currently in a bowl with some chunks of grapefruit. I'll post some pics when they get done.

Bead blaster! What a great idea. Why didn't I think of that. Oh, that's right I DON'T HAVE A BEAD BLASTER. But if I did, I still would just chemically strip. Othewise, I would not have seen that beautiful faux stone washed finish.
