Yep got a Brute finally yesterday, and stripped that monster today. Hand sanded all the flats to 600 and the blade edge to 1000. Going to do more at a later date. That stuff kills my wrists. Well here it is.

that's a lot of stripped stuff :>

You gonna use it PA? If so I wld love some action shots!

I want one but Im curious how they perform.

Thanks guys. I like the stripped look alot but I also like the black. Think I need 2 of every one of these lovely knives!! Was wondering if there is any reason not to use this monster to chop sh@t. I think I might have to have a little contest with the brute, machax, and 9. Gotta figure out which to carry camping and hiking.

The Brute chops like a fiend once you put a good edge on it. Convex it and go to town on chopping

i stripped a brute a few days ago, yours looks good. i convexed mine on my 1x42 belt sander, and boy does it chop but not better then my plumb.
