Stripped the coating off and etched the logo. Used a 1/4" angle grinder with a scotch bright disk to get all the decarb off. Then I wrapped a cotton rag over the disk with green sharpening compound to buff it. Looks 100 times better:) I would of left the decarb on but it was rusting. The decarb looks cool...

And what is this zig zag line for or from? Looks like a pencil grinder mark. Seen other Busse pics with it, but no clear explanation of what it is. Some say from a hardness tester, but all the ones I've used don't leave marks like that.

Yes it does look great!

I do believe mine needs to be done, :D

I'm surprised it's lasted this long.

Mine still needs to be used lol. I always forget about it when I'm out playing. The 1311 is just too much fun. Poor little TGLB hasn't been played with

Used it to make a big pile of tree trimmings into a small pile of tree trimmings:)

INFI sure is some tough metal. I hit a staple in a piece of 2x4 and put a small dent in it, but it easily straighten out with a steel rod. Didn't think it be that easy. Gonna go mushroom hunting this weekend at my grandpa's old place and taking the TGLB along for more action.

Tusk marks!

The question has been asked many times; but, AFAIK, the Shop has never explained these marks.

Stripped.....the ALL Business Look for a Busse!!!!

I was wondering if it's some sort of "I was here" mark....

So after chopping the branches, most were under 3" in diameter. I batoned one that was 6". It wasn't hair popping sharp, but still a very sharp working edge. I sharpened it today and this was the easiest knife I have sharpened and quickly brought it back to hair shaving sharp. It only took a few swipes with a fine stone. The knife still looks New like I just removed it from the cardboard sheath for the first time. I tried sharpening some of my 1095 knives and seemed like more I tried the duller it got... not INFI tho.

All the talk about INFI made me sceptical, but I'm a believer in INFI now:)
