Hey guys,

I'm really wanting to order a set or two of Dale's G10 for the Beckers... but all the pics I find show them with black blades. I strip most of mine, so it's hard for me to get a feel of how they are going to look on bare steel. If any of you have the G10 scales on stripped blades, please post some pics. I'm particularly interested pics with the BK10, BK7, and BK2.

My 9 is stripped but blued so probably wont help much but here it is anyway

Thanks daizee and wasatchdan for your comments. That knife is a customized BK-7 and was posted during modification in the custom Becker thread along with some other customs from some very talented fellow Becker enthusiasts. The TKC G10 scales are very comfortable and the screw attachments look better than the stock nut and bolt attachment.

wasatchdan- I like your BK-5. The G10 contrasts well with the polished blade and it must be a serious slicer.

Thanks, and as the matter of fact, that Fisked 5 is bar none the sharpest knife I own. It's scary.

The blade isn't so polished at the moment, though. I went on a 5-day campout last week, and it got used every day to make our food, so now it's sporting a nice onion/beef/chicken/bbq sauce patina.

I sent TKC an Email and got a reply quickly. I asked them if these would work with the custom kydex sheaths I already have (in my case, Azwelke). I don't remember the exact reply but it was like "maybe it will or maybe it won't". Thats far from what they told me, but my memory is blank. Regardless, I like the scales and I think I might go order some as they should work with the BK9 stock sheath perfectly (the King is on it's way in a couple days!). They are really nice looking.

My question for those that have the scales: Are these things fitting your existing custom kydex sheaths? Also, as far as size goes, do they have a similar grip as the stock grivory?

Thanks,

Jon

The customized 7 (pictured in this thread) that I completed in April, will be wearing custom leather from Skystorm. After seeing his work online, I was hooked. I will post when the sheath arrives.
