Stripped clip goodness

So, today after my chiropractor appointment, I felt good and decided I would strip the clip on my Ednura. I used Jasco Epoxy and Paint remover (something like that).

I liked it so much that my FFG Delica got the same treatment.

Big and little brother.

For those who might be interested, this is what I used to strip the coating. Really nasty stuff. Ate through any glove I put on. I thought the pair of gloves I was using were Nitrile, but apparently not.

Man I am trying to do the same thing with a product called Zip Strip and it didn't even phase that paint. Did you try anything prior to Jasco?

hey guys,
i like to strip the black off of my clips also, but i use pure acetone.
takes a little rubbing, but it comes off.
i like to leave the black in the spyder to accent the little bugger.

i stripped the black off of my d2 milie clip also, but i had to sand that coating off. the acetone didn't phase it. i gave it a homemade stonewashed finish.

Nope, I originally bought the Jasco to strip my Izula and figured I'd try it on the clips. I was originally going to use acetone, but since I was already getting the Jasco, I used it.

Your clips look good, Don. I like the black in the Spydie logo.

Well I resorted to sanding on my Paramilitary clip and it turned out great.

So back to the Enduras. I really like that sort of bead blasted look...basic metal with no polish or even satin finish. Is that how they looked post stripping? I have a gray Endura and a Gray Delica and I like that gray steel look you have there Orion. Did you do anything special to achieve that? Or is that what's under the black paint on the Endura clip?

That's exactly what they looked like after I was done. I was going to polish them but I liked the bare finish too much to get rid of it.
