Stripped Gladius

I just stripped a SAR 5,the coating was pretty beat up.

The uncoated INFI now looks "medieval" for lack of a better word.

I wonder what a Gladius would look like stripped? Has anyone been brave enough to strip one yet? :D I'd love to see some pics!

It should make it look correct for the time period it was used, almost like a hand forged steel. :thumbup:

The 55 gallon drum you were going to annihilate may have done more than scratch the coating. :eek:

Why not strip one of your other Gladius' and send me some pics, or do I have to be the Guinea pig !! :thumbup:
 
Its pretty much my intention (if I ever get a gladius) to send it to one of our stripper/satiners right away. I'm going to use the hell out of it, so why pay more for satin when I can do it myself?
