So I bit the bullet and stripped my rodent 9 like i'd been planning on doing for the last while. It was my first time stripping a coating, and I don't think that I'll get it too bright with the grooves in the cnc'd bevel, but it seems to be holding up pretty well. I've beat it, got it wet, left it wet, got it covered in pitch and it hasn't rusted or stained to the point that a scotchbrite pad couldn't clean it up again...

Your going to need to either polish out those tool marks, or coat the blade with something to prevent rust. Tool marks such as those are rust magnets because they have a tendency to trap and hold moisture. Forcing a patina will help.

While it's true that a more polished surface will resist corrosion a lot better, I think it look very cool just the way it is. Perhaps I will do it to mine too :)

I don't like the grooves, but it sure does show the grind/profile better.

Showing naked pictures on forum:eek: you need to get some pants ASAP:o,,FYI,,,Nice job
