14, 16, and 17... all stripped and patina'd.......Ethan hooked me up with the scales for the 16, fine feller that he is and all...Big shout out to Dex for the awesome Firesteel.

Thanks ! I have the 15 sitting in a vat of patina juice and will have some pics of it up soon .

As far as the edge goes ...yeah , I thinned it out some but I have no idea what angle it turned out to be . I freehand sharpened it and guesstimated the angle .
 
I dipped those suckers in pure heartache to get that patina to come out right .
 
I will likely never write a book. However, if I do, I hope it will somehow manage to have this line in it...

Thanks guys ! Heartache always makes things age faster . Watch Old Yeller and The Notebook next time you dip yer blades and see what happens . Anyone notice the 17 has a straight clip ?
 
Great looking Blades gutsy! I just love that 17. Gonna have to mod mine similar to that.
And glad that Ferro rod is getting some use. Looks great next to your awesome patina's.
 
I think I need to do some more pics of the 17 then ..... Maybe some pics of me whamming it real good .....scuffing up that nice patina . Yeah , this needs to happen .
 
Any time Gutsy makes a thread that involves pictures and stripping I get nervous!

that heartache patina came out really good. Love that straight clip, really tempted to do that to mine.
