I've seen plenty of stripped Rc-3s and Rc-4s but no Rc-6s. Has anyone stripped one yet ? If so anyone mind showing the finished product. I'm thinking about picking on up and stripping it.

hm id like to see one as well. not trying to hijack the thread but id love to see a stripped rc5 as well

Well, I should have one arriving TODAY! :D And after I baton the hell out of it and chip some coating off it I'll strip it and gun blue it like I did to my 3. :)

I literally just used a sharp razor-bladed paint scraper. To keep a pristine finish a lot of folks seem to enjoy using paint stripper on them, but once you get under the coating with the scraper blade you can peal it up quite nicely. Some light sanding to bring the polish up, and you're done! :)

My 6's coating isn't long for this world. I've used it pretty hard and it's showing it's age. I'll be stripping it pretty soon, perhaps I'll get up the gumption to do a tutorial.

Thats one thing I like (among the many) about RAT knives. The ability to take off the handles and strip the blade or have it coated or whatever.

I'm gonna strip my Izula when it gets here. I'm thinking of doing a leather wrap instead of paracord. That'd look pretty cool.

OOH! That's an awesome idea! Makes me want to get some leather necklace cord...

This topic made me wonder, what if after having used up the coating we want to have it recoated ? you think RAT Cutlery will do it for a price or no ?
