The etching is definitely deeper, just about right IMO. Gonna figure out some kind of Viking name for it.
 
Your knife looks dirty - did you wash it?
(Seriously - the patina shows up better...and leaving residue on it will cause rust)

With as much use as your 15 is seeing it would be interesting to see the natural patina that it takes on.
I let my 5 patina naturally and it was ever changing. Pretty cool.
Just make sure to lightly wash the blade with warm water and dish soap. It'll keep the rust off, but save the patina.


 
Looks awesome Dawson! I rarely if ever wash my knives other than after a patina job. Baking soda and a toothbrush scrub under warm water, soap and warm water, then a generous mineral oil bath. After that, oil and a paper towel gets off any gunk it may acquire down the road.
