Took two trips out to the shelter another forum member and I put up last fall.
First was to strip it of the tarps and the second was to restore the firepit and pick up any man-made material that was covered by snow last week.
Although we didn't do any overnights in it, it did get used quite a bit as a place to get out of the cold and snow.
After the Monster Blizzard that we had last week, most of the snow is gone with unseasonal temps this week. Lots of tracks to be seen in the mud.
Some pictures removing the tarps from the shelter last weekend. This was 4 days after we had 20+ inches of snow, whiteout conditions and sustained winds of 50 mph gusting to 65+ MPH. The shelter was unfazed.
All tarps folded and duct taped in a big bundle to carry out and store in my garage for next year.
Next trip out was to scatter the unused firewood, clean out, fill and cover the firepit and pick up any remaining unnatural items. Just leaving the frame tied with rope made of natural materials.
Pit cleaned out, filled in and covered. All remaining firewood scattered into the surrounding area.
Lean-to which was just to the right taken down.
