Stripped Wiha bit?

So today I was just about to take apart a knife that has had issues in the past. It’s a bench made griptillian 551–1, that has had stripped screws in the past. I have sent this knife in to bench made to remove a stripped screw and they sent it back with one screw tighter than ever. I had a crappy pair of tools that stripped out on me before I sent it in. So I bought a different set of tools that Hadn’t failed me until now. And so I finally ordered some wiha Bits and a bit driver. I thought that that was the end of my issues. However this seemed to be too far from the truth. As I want to remove the same exact screw it stripped out my t6 bit. Is this normal for Wiha? I don’t know how to get the screw out or if it is overly loctited. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm not an expert by any margin, but I might be able to offer a suggestion. Sometimes with tough loctite if you soak the knife in hot water in will loosen up enough for you to torque the screw loose. Another option is to put the knife in the freezer, that will make the loctite more brittle and might help get it loose. (Although, hopefully I don't have to mention it, but don't throw a frozen knife in hot water, you could cause thermal shock and crack something)

Soldering iron works best.

But, if you put a bit into the screw and hit the bit a few times firmly with a hammer, it will also break loose the loctite.

If the screw was slathered with thread locker, good luck with any method.

That would be true if the Loctite was brittle, but it tends to be a little gooier. Heat lowers the viscosity of the goo.
