I can't stand coated blades or factory edges, even if it's OD/Green Linen!

I can see and feel why these scales are so desirable. Nice silky feel.

Had my experience stripping a blade just last night. Something wholesome about seeing that steel. The process was far easier than I had imagined. The quality of a Busse blade really shows when you see how good the finish is on the metal under the coating. The blade on my CG ASH-1 didnt need anything more than a quick once-over with some wet-dry sandpaper to shine it up. I love the look of a stripped blade. The finish really reminds me of the rustic look of a knife from Blind Horse Knives, another awesome company. I was a bit hesitant to alter my blade but the project came out better than I had imagined.

your mileage may vary on the finish under coating. Some can be rough underneath. I really like the look of infi dimples.

I've really had the itch to strip my Tanker A, but I can tell it's quite deeply pitted with INFI dimples, and I'd want to do a proper job and remove the handles and all that...

On the other hand I'm quite lazy. I should really try to get a quote from Garth for refurbishment.
