The directions on the stripper say to clean it off with paint thinner. I think in the past I've just used soap and water, but then again I've never had really outstanding results. How do you guys do it?

I've never had a stripper come with instructions, but usually it's just a lot of glitter, so soap and water should be fine. Depending on how long the stripper has been around, a hefty dose of penicillin may be in order. Oh.... wait a minute.... are you talking about stripping a blade? Soap and water for that too.

^ you had me for a second... Too many beers! Soap and water here too

I wipe down with gun oil on an old rag. It brings the color back to the g10 or micarta. I imagine any CLP will do, after all it cleans, lubricates, and protects, hence the acronym. I use jasco stripper and leave it on for about 40 minutes for my best results. I also use a flat bladed razor like you would use removing paint from from a window. Worst case, I use a bronze brush to scrub it

The only stripper ive cleaned with paint thinner never called me again. Something about eye irritation, and that she found a less painful way to get the glitter off.

*shrug*

I flood the finished knife with the garden hose, while scrubbing the last bits off with a stainless brush.

when I stripped my mountain mandu I just wiped it clean with a rag didn't think abot washing it with water, should I?

I think it's an unsaid rule that while talking about stripping a knife you have to make as many stripper jokes/puns as possible, I know I do ;)

I used a different stripper this time and my results were better. Just washed it with soap and water.

I would, I don't know how much or what in it evaporates on it's own, but I've gotten the goop on my hands straight out of the can and it burned. Yep, burned by the stripper :D

The title sounds like an entrepreneurial activity for a college town.

Yes, after the stripper is on your bare skin you are almost guaranteed to soon feel a burning sensation.

Citristrip is a bit less intense on the digits but gives awesome results none the less..

What he said. I used it on my HOG ASH-1. It was just a matter of brushing it on, letting it sit, and then a little cleanup with a wire brush. Turns out that one was double cut under the coating.
