Here you can see the rust (sorry but my camera is not so good and i dont know how to turn the flash off)

Anyway... im hoping to get it rehandled with a hidden tang and wanted to check out the tang beforehand. I had noticed that the their was a small crevice between the thermorun and the metal on two seperate places but i did not think that the rust would be that bad.

Anyone else have problems with rust on their thermoruned fallkees?

I am surprised that there is rust under the handle. I think having a knife with removable grip pieces would be optimal. I would like to have a look under some Busse Res C user handles. I wonder if they are sealed from moisture.
