The pocket clip on my Delica 4 is looking pretty rough with bits of the black coating scratched/worn off. I'm planning to somehow remove the rest of the coating and then polish the metal underneath. What's the best way to go about doing this? Just some sort of paint stripper and a scotch bright pad?

All I did to remove the paint from my natives clip was scrape it off (razor blade)...you'll end up with a layer that looks like a patina that I couldn't get off (I just tried a scotch brite pad and it didn't do anything) so I just left it like that, I'm sure you could sand it off though. Depending on how high of a polish you want to you could use automotive sand paper and stop at around 1000 (grit) to get a decent hand rubbed finish, or if you want mirror you could sand it to 1000 and use mother mags aluminum polish after...

Hope it helps!

Use "regular" nail polish remover with acetone. It'll eat the paint and leave a bead blasted looking gray finish. I used a cotton ball to wipe it off. It took about 3 min start to finish. You can polish from there if you like.
