Stripping -- Protect micarta?

hey guys,
about to strip my first busse. any precautions necessary with the handles? do i have to tape them or anything?

I stripped my old BA-E. I used a regular store brand stripper (the name escapes me). I did not tape the micarta handles and they were fine afterwards. I'm not sure if other handle materials would be damaged or not. We need more input from our Hogs/Piglets. Also try the "advanced search" here. Look for things like strip, etc... and specify the Busse forum. Good luck and remember to post pics.
 
this has come up before. iirc the stripper will have no effect on the micarta.

i stripped a g10 model and it was not harmed.

and i havent had a chance to get to the mailbox center yet. ill go by tomorrow morning, cant wait to see all that leather!
 
I use Jasco, with no damage to anything but the coating and my hands. Nukarta is good as new.
