Well the stripping is going good. I've heard about blueing the metal, can anybody walk me through doing that to one of these blades?

hmmm.......
clean blade
wipe down with acetone or alcohol to make sure there is no oil on it.
heat blade in not quite boiling water.
wipe it dry then wipe on the bluing.
wait.
lightly scrub with wet scotchbrite pad
hot water heat
dry
wipe down with bluing
wait
repeat until it's as dark as you want it, generally 3-4 coats, then oil it
let sit overnight and you should be good to go.

You can Parkerize the steel also by degreasing, heat in hot water and cook in solution to Parkerize. I do feel that the cold blue is more durable and easier.

^^^^ Yeah what he said. I cannot stress enough, to make sure it is really clean (degreased) even oil from your finger prints will result in un-even color. Latex (powder free) gloves are recomended for handling and bluing. Good luck.

I would use a dead soft wire such as it appears D.R. Jellyfish is using when I Parkerize parts. The same method of suspending the blade could be used as you paint on the cold blue.
