Strong Dark Tea or Strong Black Coffee?

The offshore made Old Timer 858OTB stockman I received yesterday has real genuine saw cut Bovine Bone covers.
The covers do not match the coloration of my recently acquired offshore manufactured Old Timer 280OT "saw cut delrin" covers.
The lighter portion of the 858OTB is (please forgive the expression) "bone white" not the tan of the Delrin covers.

Should I use a strong (unsweetened) "black as tar" Tea, or a cup of strong black coffee (also unsweetened) to dye the "bone white" portions of the covers to more closely match the delrin cover's tan?
Should the tea or coffee be hot or cold?

Thanks in advance.

OH YEAH! I won't be drinking the tea or coffee after I finish, so don't let that possibility affect your recommendation. :)

Hard water and the tannin in tea will stain bone more readily than the darkest coffee. Look at the ring in your tea cup or your teeth just after drinking tea, for examples. The hard water adds to the effect compared to "softened" water.

"ring" in my tea mug/glass goes from the brim, down and across the bottom, and back up to the brim. :)

If it is empty long enough, (Normally, it ain't when I drink Tea.) I might even wash it more than once every 2 or 3 year or so. :)

Tea or coffee, if I can see the bottom of my cup with roughly 0.25 inches of beverage in the cup, it is "weak". :)

I think they have well water at the facility I live at now. Since I don't drink plain water, I don't know if it is hard or not.

(FACTS about Water:
Rocket fuel is synthesized from water.
EVERY mass murderer has admitted to drinking water.
EVERY known and unknown grave has someone in it that drank water.
Given enough time water will dissolve all metals but Gold, Platinum, and maybe a couple others, it also dissolves wood and other organic things including bodies,
Given enough time, water will dissolve the tallest mountain ranges to a level plain.
There are enough chemicals in (tap) water to kill a "person", to include bleach, floride (Floride was used in WW II to make poison gasses and nerve gasses) and "naturally occurring" Arsenic.
If you drink too much of it in a day, it will kill you.
Tap water generally contains fish poo, fish p and worse, depending on the municipality's source.
(most cities along the Mississippi River, for example, get their drinking water down stream from each other' sewage dump into the river, and farms that have cow, pig, and other critters that relieve themselves in one of the many tributaries up stream from them. Not to mention the "natural" fertilizer obtained from residue of livestock and horses, insecticides, and herbicides them farmers use.)

- the tannin in the leaves on the ground, as it's Fall, are very effective........that would stain 'em very easily

I drink extremely strong tea, coffee too and the older you get the stronger you want it. I'd say tea works better, coffee is more 'oily' and thus seems to soak in less, add salt to any tea dye bath.
