Hello, I am looking for a new folding edc. I think my favorite folder so far has been the Benchmade 810 - But I really want something that opens VIA Wave, flipper, or assisted. I am also a sucker for strong locks on my folders. Thanks in advance...

If you want to try the wave on the cheap you could go for a Kershaw/Emerson collab, or a delica or endura wave. On the more expensive side, there are the actual Emersons or my personal favorite waved knife, the Southern Grind Bad Monkey. I'd recommend trying one of the cheaper options to see if you like the wave before dropping that kind of cash though.

Plus, in the end, the wave is only going to save you at most a half second or so in EDC use. They're more intended for self defense knives where that half second can mean the difference between life or death. It's still fun to play with either way though, and it scares the pants off of the non-knife folks :D.

The wave works great unless your wearing a coat or something. I just bought a zt 801 flipper and it blew my mind. Built like a tank and smooth as silk. You gotta try one.

I have a ZT 0770 carbon fiber in M390 that weighs three ounces. I got tired of all of the heavy ZT models. This folder is a great knife in my opinion.great fit and finish, solid lockup, fires hard and quick.

how about a tanto version benchmade barrage, they are a good deal for the price and the assist action is very nice.

also the kershaw rake is a nice assisted knife that is pretty underrated in my opinion.
