WOW!

Gerhard - Your work is the epitome of flow and grace, and this piece is just sublime.

Beautiful piece!! great job. Love the way you shaped the guard and it flows into the handle:thumbup:

Gorgous! Every detail is interesting! And there are alot of details! The sheath is great too!

Blade and handle really flow together as one in this piece. Very nice work Gerhard! I quite like the combination of texture and a bold hamon in the blade (or is it laminated?).

Wieland,

Thanks for posting your work here.

These are beautifully detailed, sophisticated designs.

keep em coming!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
Not very often we see something so out of the box, yet at the same time not 'too out there'. Amazing work.

This piece leaves me awestruck. I love every single aspect of it. The hamon is spectacular!

So many great details - wonderful graceful lines, great bolster that integrates into the flow of the handle, great carved lines with beautiful little flourishes - even to mirroring the hamon in the edge decoration of the sheath. All that and it looks like it would be wonderful to hold and use. A lot is going on but it's not "busy", just beautiful - very well done!

thank you very much for your kind words!
I´m glad, that you like it.

@rogerP,
roger, this is a monosteelblade, no san-mai construction.

@john white,
john, one of my next orders will be a ´woodpecker´again-
I´ll post it, when it´s finished.

best regards

gerhard

After seeing these pics, I get the feeling they do this knife no justice at all.

I believe that knife looks 100x better than those pictures could ever let on. That is one to feel not just see.

Very nice work.
