Hello Folks

I am currently looking for a general utility blade that will be used to cut anything & every thing in the kitchen & around the house. My preferences are:

* Fully serrated blade about 5.5” long

* Fixed blade favoured

* If folder must strong & secure ie: lockback

* Grippy handle

* Robust design- will be subject to abuse

* Sharp tip required for pointy, piercing work

* Full tang preferred

This blade will be replacing the cheap “Made in Taiwan” version of a 5.5” FB kitchen knife which I have found to be the most useful blade ever…. have owned several but cannot find stout ones….they only seem to last 20-30 months before snapping. So durability is every important!

All constructive responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

Spyderco Temperance Spyderedge. Or maybe one of the utility knives, but these are thiner, flexible, and lean more towards food prep than general utility.

I don't know the name, but I have a Spyderco in the block with all of our kitchen Henckels that I think meets your needs precisely. I think that it was around $ 30 and has a wicked blade and user friendly grip.
