hi i'm kind of new to the posts here can anyone explain what a strop is and what it does or what it is used for thanks for all your help i am learning alot from all of you dedicated knife enthusiasts thank you for all of your help god bless
 
Theres also some good info that Cliff Stamp offered on strops and stropping compounds on not2sharp's "On the sharp end of sharp" thread. Last post on 10.21 - a few days back.
