Stropping???

Sorry for my ignorance, but I've heard all this talk about stropping your blades, but I have no idea what that means!!! I tried searching, but there doesn't seem to be a thread explaining what stropping is and what it accomplishes, can anyone explain it to me? Thanks.

Stropping gives you that final polished edge (IF DONE CORRECTLY) that brings out the Shaving Sharp Edge if you have done all of the sharpening steps properly. I use it on my EDC every evening as a daily maintenence.

The above site is mainly for convexed edges but it also teaches the user the how to so in that regard it is a good site to check out and make note of.
