Has benchmade discontinued the 908 stryker...? Everywhere seems to be out of them and my usual online retailer doesn't even list it anymore.... Say it isn't so...:(
 
I don't follow Benchmade much so I don't know what they've discontinued or not. What I can tell you is KSF has em. Not only that but an exclusive in M4 no less, it's the one I've got and it's fantastic!
 
Benchmade only ever discontinue their best knives. 710, AFCK, Strykers etc. I guess they see different numbers when they calculate their profits maybe, weird.

I just looked that one up. Very nice looking blade.
 
My 904 arrived today. Ironically (since I bought a discontinued knife), this is a "First Production" example. I planned to carry it but I think I'll squirrel it away. I've got too many others I enjoy carrying anyway.

Man I really hate to read this. I love the Strykers. Guess it's a good time to gobble some up!
 
I guess I've picked a bad time to start getting into Benchmade. I've only owned my Grip for about three years and this past Nov was looking through a catalog and thought I might pick more up. Most of the models that struck my fancy are being discontinued .:mad:
 
I particularly like the 903 and wish it were the KSF exclusive, instead of the bigger one. I'd take several.
 
I like the 903 too. I wish mine was not a coated blade but they were out of the plain. For the price I was very happy and at least I was able to get both with no serrations.

Photo... Did you purchase from GPknives? I received my mini stryker with a similar "first run" marking (471). I don't mind the markings, especially at that price point... My first Benchmade and it's just solid.
 
Mine were from GP. I guess the 904 wasn't a big seller. Or maybe they were using a "last in, first out" type of inventory system :D
