Stuart wanted to try something a bit different and brought forth a Japanese/Scandinavian hybrid Puukko....it's a beautifully finished knife and sheath.

Stuart commented how much time he had in that sheath since he'd never done anything in that style before....wood-lined, beautifully molded, sewn, dyed, and finished. He always ties his 'blade covers', no matter the style, to the knife as part of the package and Stuart's leatherwork is as fine as any, to my notion.

Walnut, stacked leather, copper collar with hammered face, and some DHIII W2....

Very beautiful. I have long felt there were some similarities albeit superficial in the look for a pukko and traditional tanto.

Les Ristinen used to run the Suomi shop and sold a lot of long Tommi knives in Japan as they looked a lot like older tantos, before they got the "American Point". John

A fine looking knife, as always, from Stuart. That combination of materials works very well. The blade profile, grind, and hamon make it all that much more sweet. Congratulations, Dudley, and thanks for the great pictures. Mike

Love that handle. So nice. Looks sharp!!
