The story you are about to hear is true, im not passing any blame for i know it was my own fault.

So im moving things from my house to a storage facility, everything that i wasn't worried about i just packed up in boxes and had the company take away to the facility. But a few things that i wanted to store that i didnt want someone else handling i packed up myself and was gonna take myself. A duffell bag with my knives my old laptop some dollar coins (that i was saving because i think that one day they will be worth something even though they probably wont) and my old xbox since i have a newer one and dont use that one anymore but want to save it incase i need it. Another similar bag with some clothes a back pack with some just that random stuff that you never use that you can never throw away. I get on the bus with my bags sit down and take my sweat shirt off, it was raining and i didnt want to get soaked but it was too hot to keep it on for the ride. So when i get to my stop it had stopped raining and i grab all my stuff. i double check see nothing on the floor so im like alright were good. I get to the storage place and open the bag and my knives are gone, they were all in a zipper closed case, so i panic and dump the bag turn it inside out and all that to find out there is a flaw in the seam where the sticking came out the corner about a 8 inch long spot. Well i guess the case the knives were in slid out on the bus, i went to the bus station and asked to check the bus and after arguing they said okay i could quickly check and nothing. Then i asked if they found anything and they said you can check the lost and found but thats all they got, some purses a wallet or 2 bunch of coats but its not there. So all my knives are gone except the byrd cara cara 2 that i had in my pocket.

Lost.
Emerson cqc 7b
Spyderco paramilitary 2
Spyderco endura
microtech socom elite.

Thats all i had in my collect because i traded all my other things to get these.
Now i need to try to buy something new when all i got is like 60 bucks to spend. And to be truthful after this i wont ever spend big amounts again since one they dont preform for my tasks anybetter and two when something happens it hurts much more then if you lose a 60$ blade. Also i wouldnt buy any of that list again either. What do you guys suggest that i buy for a new carry and utility knife for 60$.

Wow that's a tough break. Really sorry to hear that. I hope some how you find them! You can't go wrong with a Kershaw Skyline

Man that really sucks. I'd say a Rat 1 or 2 and either a Spyderco Tenacious, Persistence, or Ambitious. That way you've got two solid knives for about $60.

Man that really sucks!

Kershaw Skyline, Blur, Leek all great edc's in your price range, give or take:thumbup:

Sorry to hear about your troubles man. I know how it feels. Gives you a knot in your gut. I lost my coach wallet with $200.00 dollars in it recently. Wasn't a happy camper.

As for a new blade I'd say you could get a spyderco delica or an endura for around that price range. Should fit your needs.

FFG delica or endura.

Sorry for your loss. I had 5 guns stolen in an apartment break in several years ago. Did not have renters insurance so was totally screwed.

Dude, that sucks big fat hairy coconuts! I recently picked up a Kershaw speedform2 and IMO it is one heck of a knife for under 100 bucks. Elmax steel, G10 scales and good ergo's. You can get one from kershawguy for 75$ here or if that is not your thing he also has lots of other stuff closer and even under your 60 mark .

By something different. You have used the Kershaw, Spyderco, Benchmade, Emerson, etc., style knives plenty. Wanna break your rut? Pick up a Case Slipjoint, an Opinel, a Svord, etc. Get away from the same old same old. Hell, hit your local antique store, and pick up a nice vintage folder. So much more out there than the same every knife standard answers you always get here...

Heck yeah! $60 bucks buys a nice Swiss Army knife, an Opinel, a Condor, AND a Mora. And they're all brand new for that price, and perfectly usable.

Agreed.
Take a new road.
Refresh, restart.

First, that is terrible about your knife collection. I hate it for ya and I am sorry.

Since you asked. For under $60 I would head to my local lowe's and get 2 crkt, or a crkt and a sog, or a cammilus and a crkt. I got a crkt ripple for $29.99 and i love it. Lost it for a couple months and then it popped back up yesterday.

That really stinks... Shoot me an email, I am sure I can help out.

Geez, that's terrible, bro, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm pretty sure that Amazon sells the Spyderco Tasman for right around $60, or the Byrd model, the Hawkbill for around $30. I've been using a Hawkbill for about 2 years and it's still beasting everything I put it to. I hope this helps, good luck, man!

Mini Grip, salt, delica, rat 2, persistence skyline all are pretty awesome knives. I have an ambitious at home that I haven't edc'd. Its got a huge ffg blade for something so small. I also had a ukpk that was very cool it was super sharp but it didn't slice as well as the ffg. I just got an opinel in too that is interesting. Not for the modern folder guy but man does it get sharp... And how quickly it does it too.
