studs on handles

I am currently trying to attach some studs and nylon webbing to kydex, problem is the shaft on the stud is not quite long enough to bite securely. I have seen studs attached to handles, so my question is how do I do this can I just use a pin flared at both ends through the stud or is there a better solution?

A sex bolt, also known as a barrel nut,barrel bolt, Chicago screw or post and screw ?

Buy them a little long, and file down to fit.

Thanks mate, I got plenty of chicago screws, Hard to explain without the pic but I was trying to attach on elayer of kydex to two of webbing. I thought a little pin in the centre of the stud might be stronger and longer than the paper thin little flair that normally holds them.
