Stumped by this vintage CASE fixed blade...

Hey everyone, I am brand new on the forum but am an amateur knife enthusiast. I work for an online auction company that gets knives all of the time and I am usually really good and getting down to the background of most knives, even unmarked ones. HOWEVER, I have this Case knife that has me officially stumped. It is vintage for sure but its age is less important than the MODEL. See, the stacked leather handle and round pommel looks like the M3 US Army knives that Case produced during WW2, but the crosspiece/guard seems too short and the blade isn't right. Not to mention, I can't find a Case model that has a fully double edged spear point like this that isn't an actual dagger (i.e. the Case V-42). Plus, check out the position and font of the tang logo... Is it an old fake? Is it modified? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide! Andy

p.s. I know that the sheath may not be original to the knife but it came with it...

Hi el dub, I can see the pics. As I am new on this forum, is there a different way I can post them to ensure they are visible?

You will need to use a photo hosting site and paste a link into your post.

BTW Thanks Kbrasmodeler I didn't see your post until I had already hit my Google account version for image hosting...
