I hope you don't mind me praising you a bit.

I am almost speechless.... almost, except for this long winded post.. hahaha!
Went out to the mailbox today, and found something quite unexpected and quite wonderful!!
Wow, Mark, you are a truly kind person.

I was really enjoying seeing your photos of that 1969 110, and was so happy to see you post about it, and what version and variation it was, so I could go hunting for one in the next few months. I even browsed the current Larry list after seeing that.
I have been thinking about how nice it would be to have a 1969 Buck, since that is my birth year. The only thing is how hard it is to date most of them from that era! I was going to ask Larry for his help when I was ready for the search to begin ;)

Anyway, I was totally surprised, shocked, amazed and very grateful to find that very 110 in my mailbox today!
Geez.... I may or may not have leaked a tear of joy :)
The craziest part is that my birthday is actually on tuesday, and I know you didn't know.

So now for a few reasons, I think this is now my very favorite knife :)

I am truly in shock still.

He certainly is a good gentleman to be a friend with and enjoy having on this Forum as a Buck Collector. We wish you all the best. DM

Oh..... I shaved with it immediately too :D
Vintage 1969 face with a vintage 1969 Buck knife, what a shave!! :)
not sure if it has a Buck spa edge, or a Stump spa edge, but it shaved nicely :)

Posting this was super challenging..... dsl internet service almost non-existent at a whopping .13 mbs :(
Thank goodness Verizon is coming tomorrow to fix the wiring from the street to the house!
I can't take much more ultra slow internet... dial up speed would be a huge upgrade at this point.

Beautiful knife, and in great condition! That was a very generous gift.

It is interesting to see some of the slight variances in a design that has been mostly unchanged for decades.

DC, that was really cool of Mark to give you that cool old Buck 110...
Happy Birthday... ★★★

:)

 to both of you. An outstanding gesture by Stumps and a fine year to be born. I happen to be a Chris with a production date of '69 as well :p.

Chris…glad you like it!

That's a Buck factory edge on the blade. I see you're putting it to good use already. :)

The Buck people on this forum are second to none with Stumps leading the way. He is a true gentleman.

Very nice knife Chris and hope you have a great birthday.

I have dealt with Mark on a couple of occasions; got my BG42 stockman from him. He is great to deal with and an inspiration for anyone who enjoys Buck knives.

Stumps is a true gentleman and a real credit to this forum. Thank you Stumps for the man you are.

Mark is a Gem, He traded me a beat up old third version(rare variation) for a 1st version(Ultra rare)

He goes above and beyond to help others fulfill their 110 collections

Go Mr. Stumps for being awesome!
Happy early birthday, Chris! Mine is today. :) I think your present beats mine. I got a recliner. :)

A recliner is an awesome birthday present!
I am trying to talk my gal into getting/ordering me a Buck 294 as a present from her. I think she is about to agree 😀
