Yah, yah, yah. I know. I originally asked a stupid question. I wanted a small Busse. And as you all predicted, on some other invisible web board for making fun of Busse newbies, I ordered a bigger one than expected. I can see your posts in my mind.

“He specifically asked for a knife with limited chopping ability. Screw him. Tell him to do Paul’s Hatchet. He’ll get the picture REAL quick.”

“Nah. Take it easy on this one. He’s been around BF awhile. Let’s just convince him to get a Natural Outlaw. We’ll start him off with a little chopping, just to break him in right. He has the makings of a real deforester, but needs slow encouragement.”

So you did your task well. I now have a Natural Outlaw on order. Don't ask em how I'm gonna' survive the wait though. It may kill me. You guys better post frequent and nice pictures of the NO to get me through the upcoming weeks ahead. :D
 
Buzz, I have been waiting what seems a decade now, and she still aint showed up!:( (NO)

I can not wait for it to get here though. I also have an AS on it's way to accompany her so that should be a very sweet combo 'out bush'.

Mr Mojo also incoming for those larger chopping chores. All that is needed now is a Busse folder! :D (Hint Hint)

...yeah right, I need an SH_E, ...............and.........or.......

I also ordered up a dog tag to commemorate my new Busse blade purchase. Maybe Busse should send the tag right away, just so I can rub it for good luck on a speedy delivery. ;)


By the way..... What's up with the post editing feature? I royally misspelled the subject of this thread. I tried editing it, but it only edited the title of this post!!!!
 
You guys will love the Natural Outlaw. I have 15 Busse knives and the NO is still my all around favorite.

Congrats on the NO, it is an awesome blade. From what I understand from the shop the CG knives are shipping out right on the estimated time schedule OR a little ahead. :D:D It will be in your hands before you know it and all will be well with the world. :D

If you were to live on the right side of the world we wouldn't have that pesky shipping problem, now would we ;):D:D Let us know when she lands :D:D

LOL @ Eric! I know I know, I use to live there and for some stupid reason, moved back to Australia. I loved the squirrels....:D

Next? A steel heart - E actually, and um, um, a Euro Caretaker, both!???. I just have to sort out getting the monies to our good friend Dirk.

I've already started thinking over my next purchase. My bet is the Assault Shaker. It looks like a great knife to accompany the NO.

Actually, if I could get my hands on an old Mean Street, it would jump into my daily carry rotation. :)

Then again..... Paul's Hatchet looks like a kewl toy to play with. :D

Ughh!!!! I need one of each.
 
Is there such a thing as "Busse Envy" :eek:? Is that what perpetuates the need for larger and larger Busses? If so Buzz, then we're in trouble. I'm already thinking about a NO, and my AS has yet to arrive! On that note...

I ordered an AS early last week. I even called today to see if it might arrive any sooner. Nope........another couple weeks. Asked if they allowed tours (Busse Combat is only 5 hours from my doorstep, and I go downstate fairly regularly). Nope.........govt. contracts don't allow that. This is nearly as bad as when I ordered my first "nice" knife many moons ago.

The only thing that helped clear my mind was the call from Lisa at CRK.......but then that's a whole different drug, but the same addiction. :D
 
Hey Buzzbait, glad to see you have chosen to become "ONE OF US!" I have enjoyed reading your other posts for a while now.

Since you ordered the NO, you are in for a REAL TREAT! I just went for a walk in the forest earlier today with mine... First, I had to cut myself a proper walking stick - no problem! It went through a nice 2 incher in 2 chops. Next, my daughter had to have a walking stick since I had one - again, no problem! Went through a 1 incher in 1 chop. We went down the trail a ways more and my son wanted his own stick to hit trees with and drag along in the dirt and throw at his sister (he's only 3 yrs. old!) So his little bitty one came down in one stroke and was limbed in less than 20 seconds.

After that, I chopped and gathered some dried and dead wood and we made a fire. It was a pretty big fire, and we sat around it and talked until it was down to the embers.

When we got home, I pulled out the NO to give it the "post use inspection". After many, many full power chops into both live and dead wood, it was still SHAVING SHARP!!! All I did was wash off the green stuff, strop it lightly, coat the edge with some oil, and put it away!

THAT is why I love Busse knives. Their 'quiet dependability". What I mean by quiet dependability is that I hardly noticed the NO until I needed it, but when I did, it got the job done easily. No matter what the job was. When you need your NO, it will be there. (ready to do WHATEVER!) I beat mine all the time and it still comes home with me!

Congratulations on the awesome blade! I hope you get lots of great use out of it.
 
I think the NO will work well for you. Tell us how you like it! I'll try to work out some pics to help you along :D
 
Let us know when you get it Buzzbait, we love hearing first impression stories:D

After you have a chance to give her the spanking she deserves come back in here and we'll coax, ...er, ...HELP you find a good companion for her:p
