Stupid Endura Use!

After reading the recent thread about the messed up Endura lock, I thought it might be neat to post my experience from this morning. Basically I won't get into how it happened but I ended up tossing my Endura at a tree (safely, not just haphazardly) and much to my surprise it makes an excellent thrower. I threw it ten times, stuck it every timetime except the last, when it busted sideways against the trunk.
Obviously I truly expected I had at broken Endura at this point. But nope, I picked it up and the lockup was as solid as its ever been. Absolutely no play. And this was an already hard used blade, I got in a gaw on here and it had been rode hard and put up wet, and on top of that I used it to pry all morning when I locked myself out of the house (duh!) And it's no worse for wear. This is a quality product, even when misused[emoji106]

I wouldn't throw that If I were you, but hey. I have a Camillus Cuda that was pretty abused so much, I am surprised that it didn't break yet. Still going strong.

Somehow I think the random number generator will remember this haha.

While it's certainly a durable, quality knife, I'm surprised the blade wasn't damaged; it's really not tempered for throwing. Looks like VG-10 as done by Spyderco is tougher than I thought.

Some people's Enduras have been pounded pretty hard and survived. I really like mine and they are great uses once that horrible hump is ground off the middle.
